A nationally recognised full-time vocational A.Q.F qualification, custom designed with industry consultation, to incorporate a broad cross section of practical skills and knowledge.

The Advanced Diploma develops actors in preparation for employment in the Film, Television or Theatre industries. Outcomes suitable for employment are recognised in the following areas:

The Advanced Diploma consists of extended core training in
Acting Technique, Voice, Movement
Improvisation, Camera and Theatre

Specialised training areas include:

  • Stage Combat
  • Film Analysis
  • Writing Structure
  • Sensory Awareness
  • Phonetics
  • Group Devised Performance

Specialised classes include:

  • A week with renowned Master Voice Teacher Rowena Balos.
  • A dedicated week with Sue Manger, casting agent with over 30 years experience.

Training commences late in January for a duration of two years and meets AUSTUDY requirements.

There are 28 contact hours of training per week.
There are 40 weeks of intensive training per year.
Rehearsals and work experience must also be undertaken.

The Advanced Diploma of Film, Television and Theatre Acting includes all units of competency from the Diploma of Film and Television Acting and the Certificate IV in Film and Television Acting.

Students may also attain the qualification through part time, self paced training.
